When you think of the State Fair, you think of deep fried foods. That’s why this year, we’ll be at the State Fair showing folks that instead of pouring grease and cooking oil down the drain we can recycle it into clean-burning biofuel.

Find Our Recycling Centers, Win Football Tickets

We’ve set up grease recycling stations all over town, which gave us an idea for a contest. Visit the Cease the Grease page on Facebook and post a picture of yourself recycling used cooking oil at one of the grease recycling stations. (You can find all the neighborhood recycling locations and a link to our Facebook page at www.ceasethegrease.org.)

100 Winners

The first 100 people who post their pictures on our Facebook page will receive one free ticket to the State Fair. All submissions will then be entered in our College Football Ticket Giveaway. One lucky winner, chosen at random, will win TWO tickets to the Texas/OU game at the Cotton Bowl. (Visit www. ceasethegrease.org for the rules.)

Want free tickets to the State Fair?

Meet the KLUV and KRLD-AM Street Teams at the Park Lane and Lakewood Whole Foods locations on Sunday, Sept. 25th from 1-3pm and the Coit Road and Preston/Forest locations on Sunday, October 2 from 1-3 pm. Bring at least a liter of used cooking oil to recycle and receive one State Fair ticket per family until all 150 tickets are gone. You can also register to win Texas/OU football tickets.
