National Night Out takes place at Tietze Park from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Oct. 7. In addition to the police presence and focus on crime watch programs, school and PTA representatives will at the event.
The Greater White Rock Early Childhood PTA will be on hand to promote is mission of a better Woodrow Wilson High School through community involvement and stronger feeder schools, including J.L. Long Middle School and Stonewall Jackson, Lakewood, and Robert E. Lee elementary schools.
National Night Out historically features kids' activities such as face-painting and the obligatory bounce house, demonstrations by the Dallas police and fire departments, free food, and music, plus all the neighborhood socializing and networking a person could want.
