Officers and members of the Lakewood Neighborhood Association take their next steps toward bringing an area specific-use permit under the city's review.

The LNA meets at 6:30 Oct. 7 at Lakewood Elementary School to discuss its efforts to persuade Dallas City Council to reconsider the 99-year SUP that allows Far West to operate as a dance hall on the edge of the neighborhood. Dallas City Plan Commissioner Bob Weiss will address the audience and answer questions pertaining to the permit.

Tomorrow's meeting will help shape neighborhood efforts in preparation for the hearing with Dallas City Plan Commission, which takes place Oct. 16.
